• The Troll

  大きなおもちゃはたくさんあるけど、これぞ正にビッグなヤツだ！ ジェームス・ジャービスのコミック「Vortigern’s Machine」から出て来た「The Troll」は確実にビッグ級に入る。 このシリーズのフィギュアは他に全て揃っていたものの、こいつはあまりにも大きく、高級なモノだったので、最初は手にすることを諦めてた。ところが、またネットオークションのおかげで（せいで？）半額で手に入るチャンスが現れたので、嫁からの大事な許可を得て、購入をしてしまった… こいつが届いて、実際に目の前にあったら、サイズに本当にビックリした。「スペースないから、大きいのは買わないで」と言ってた嫁に深くわびる… The Trollは小さい子供とサイズが変わらず、箱に入ったら更にビッグ。証拠として、以下の写真を撮って、彼を屋根裏に追放した。 いつか自分のおもちゃ専用部屋を持つのを楽しみにしている。その日が来たら、The Trollと彼の仲間を飾る予定です。 There are big toys and then there are BIG toys. • Paper Mania Part II

  この間、Shin Tanakaの新ペーパークラフト・シリーズについてアップしてからというもの、全デザインを掘り出すということに完全にはまっちゃった… 最初に思ったよりもデザインがかなり多くて、今のところ37デザインを発見した（箱のデザインをいれたら38）！一番珍しい（めったに出て来なかった）ヤツはShinさん本人がデザインした分（上）。その上、色違いとか微妙に違うヤツもあったので、全部探すのは結構大変だった。Shinさんがこのプロジェクトにどれだけ力をいれたのか･･･ということに気付いて、アーティストとして凄く尊敬している。 今まで発見したデザインを暴露するのはちょっと悪いと思うけど、下に載せてしまった。 欲しかったら自分で楽しんで探して見てください。 新しいデザインが更に出て来たら、みなさん連絡お願いします…よろしく。 今ホラーウッドのペーパークラフトも制作中… I went a bit overboard and got thoroughly addicted to discovering just how many paper toys Shin Tanaka had created for his new series. • Success for Gravity

  長い間、本格的な「アクション・フィギュア」を買っていない。最近は大人コレクター向けのいわゆる「デザイナーズフィギュア」ばかり。だけど、この間アクション・フィギュアの世界に再び戻っちゃった。きかけは有名アメコミ「スポーン」の新シリーズ、「The Adventures of Spawn」。 実は昔スポーンが好きだったけど、最近あまり興味ない。なぜかと言うとMcFarlaneの他のフィギュアと同様、スポーンのフィギュアはたいてい細かすぎて、そのせいで見た目はちょっときたないと思う。だけど、「The Adventures of Spawn」のシリーズにはMcFarlaneはもっとスムーズで漫画チックなものを作った。 今回登場するヤツは殆どスポーンの定番キャラクターで、このキャラクターを新しくリミックスしたって感じ。僕の一番好きなキャラクターは相も変わらず「The Creech」。 フィギュアと共に、ウェッブ上で無料で読めるコミックもあるので、見てみて下さい。 For a long time I have not bought what I would call a real “action figure” and have focused more on so-called “designer figures”.
