Gravity展の第一弾では、僕のデザインを利用して、シンプルなプロダクトを作ることに挑戦した。その経験を通して色んな事を勉強出来た。
今回のプロダクトはエコ君のレターセット。
エコ君というキャラクターは熱心な『環境戦士』。だから、僕のプロダクトもこの気持ちを示さないとダメだと思って、再生紙を使用した。
２色のエコ君は、少し味のある再生紙に良く合っていて、このシンプルなデザインに結構満足している。
At the first Gravity show earlier this year I made an attempt at creating some simple products featuring my designs, and learnt a lot from the experience.
This time I settled on a single item – the Eco-kun writing set.
As my Eco-kun character is supposed to be an ardent eco-warrior, I realised that my product would have to reflect this, and so I made sure that my letter set was printed on recycled paper.
I am pleased with the simplicity of the design, and as I had hoped the 2-tone characters work well on the textured recycled paper.

Thanks for the comment John. One theory I have is that many people are more attracted to art on things (or turned into things) than art in frames, so I’m also hoping this one will be a hit.
