• Snug Stain

  数週間前にGravity展のメンバーで友人の嶋谷くんから、彼の作品を入れるパッケージのデザインを依頼された。 嶋谷くんは『Snug Stain』というブランド名で、ハンドメイドで精巧なシルバーアクセサリーを制作している。 今回僕がパッケージデザインをした作品はバイクのパーツ（ピストン、スパークプラグなど）のミニチュアをモチーフとしたもの。 そこで、既存のパッケージのパロディー（？）でデザインしてみた。 一番大変だったのは、箱を「より汚く見せる」こと･･･！これが唯一の要望だった！ イラストレーターで色々なファンクションを試した末にリアルな「オイル汚れ」を作るのに成功した。 ※全ての箱の「オイル汚れ」は微妙に違います！良く見てみて下さい。 完璧主義は嶋谷くんだけじゃないみたい････笑 Gravity展第二弾が月曜日（10/8）から始まります。 Be there or be square（直訳：つまらない人間になりたくなかったら、必ず来ること） 皆さん、遊びに来てくださ～い。 A few weeks ago friend and fellow Gravity member Takeshi Shimatani recruited me to design some packaging for his jewellery. • Super Furry Animation

  ウェールズの伝説のバンド、スーパー・ファーリー・アニマルズ（ＳＦＡ）のミュージックビデオを２つ紹介したい。 ＳＦＡは昔から僕の好きなアーティスト、ピート・ファウラー（同ウェールズ出身）と仲がよく、ピートは「モンスターリズム」というシリーズのデザインで有名。 ピートはＳＦＡのジャケットのイラストも描いていて、最初のビデオは彼のアニメーション。曲は「Hello Sunshine」。 ２番目のビデオ「Lazer Beam」は、子供の頃にやってたゲームを思い出すから単純に好きだ。もちろん曲も好き。 Below are 2 videos from the legendary Welsh band The Super Furry Animals.
