Artists sometimes send me their own promotional images when they submit their Calling All Cars customs to me. In preparation for the next wave of designs, I thought I would introduce a couple of those posters.

First up is a typically colourful car from Jason Harlan (aka Harlancore).
Jason if a very prolific papercraft maker most famous for his bountiful Boxpunx series, which makes uses some very clever glueless technology.
He previously contributed to my Snake Eyes artist series which I revealed last week.

Next up is Scott Schaller’s masterful California Hot Rod. This beast is the first 3 sheeter!
It takes some building but is very satisfying to complete.
Scott Schaller is a graphic design teacher from California and is a very active promoter of the papercraft scene. He has actually contributed 2 designs to my project so far, the second of which will be featured in a later series.

「Calling All Cars」プロジェクトの参加者で時々にクラフトと共にＰＲ用の画像も送ってくれる人もいる。
今第３シリーズの準備をしているので、その頂いたポスターでデザインの２つを紹介したい。

最初はJason Harlan（別名Harlancore）のとてもカラフルな車。
以前Jasonのことをかるく紹介したけど（この間リリースした「Snake Eyes」のアーティストシリーズにも参加）、今まで沢山素晴らしいペーパークラフトを作り出したアーティストです。
一番有名な作品は「Boxpunx」というシリーズで、のり不要な面白い仕組みを利用している。ホームページはこちら。

次はScott Schallerの優れたカリフォルニア・ホット・ロッド。
初めてＡ４三枚を利用するデザインです。
組み立てるのはかなり時間かかるけど、完成後の満足感が非常高いクラフト。
Scottはカリフォルニアのグラフィックデザイン講師で、いつもペーパークラフトのシーンを積極的に推進している。
実は彼はデザインを２つも送ってくれたけど、２枚目は次のシリーズにリリースします。

Here are 3 more great Calling All Cars customs.

First up is “Carro Loco” by Machintoy.
With it’s vibrant colour scheme, the design is absolutely bursting with Latin flavour.

Next we have “Ron Deer” by TheDayDreamKid.
Ron Deer represents the best of American culture with a mullet-head farmer running over his own windshield! More of TheDayDreamKid’s stuff can be seen over at his site.

Lastly, and again by no means least, I present “Calling All Squids” by Collin David.
This is the second nautical themed custom in the series and I love the sunken shipwreck vibe of the car.

次はTheDayDreamKidの「Ron Deer」。このキャラクターはTheアメリカの田舎者。
髪はウルフカットで、自分の壊れたフロントガラスをトラクターで踏んでしまっている。

海をモチーフにしているキャラクターは二台目。難破船の車が特に僕のお気に入り。

これまでに合計１０台紹介したので、そろそろCalling All Carsのクラフト第1弾をリリースする予定。

他のペーパークラフトニュース。
ロサンジェルスで開催された「Urban Paper」の本の出版記念パーティーとギャラリーショーはすごくうまくいったらしい。
